OK not once did I dog these kids out I said they have to get better for DC to be a serious team. No one ever said they were bad at all but getting better is a true statement. Never mind all the home cooking in the first half and don't try for 1 second to say as usual LA didn't get a ton of home cooking like the worse in recent memory. DC didn't show up at all in the 2nd half. Not at all. There's not a a person in this world who will say LA didn't Screw DC in the first half.  But there a 2 halves to Football. LA was by far the better team but how many dang games are they going to get all the breaks. DC needs 2 inches on a 4th easily get's 2 yards and lol where does they spot him lol short. Explain this to me how's pass interference possibly when the QB is still holding the ball. Look it was nothing new for us to see these calls in LA it happens every time not every other time but every time.  So let me say Great Half LA Great half LA.  As good as you are wouldn't you like to stop teams on your own for 4qtrs. I would never Dog a kid out with mine on the freaking sidelines. Get real. Yes they played better tonight and for sure there were players who didn't show up at all. This team has to get better across the field for DC to be a serious team. LA on D are great. QB is great but after tonight that were the only 2 phases I seen any better. Sorry you don't have to like it that's why it's my opinion.

24 hours ago I’m an idiot who doesn’t know football. Now LA wins by 31 and he blames home cooking. Hilarious.

You are a straight up idiot you said LA was 22 spots better than DC. That no kid on DC would start for LA is the most idotic thing said I've ever herd in my life.  There are several kids on DC who would start any where there at. 62 had a great night and once again showed why he's going to TTU. 15 completely shut down 11 all night except one catch until he was injured at the end of the 3rd. 53 had a bad game and I seen the coaches screaming at him a couple times 25 played the first half on D and played great but didn't play at all the 2nd half do to injury. 5 played pretty good not great but solid. What killed me was 15 got hurt his dad is a coach and didn't even go out on the field to check on him. What kind of crap is that your son is laying on the field and you can go out and you dont. I use to thank a lot of this coach but that's sorry as crap. Someone should have set him straight. Does anybody got any updates on 15 is he going to be out for a while because is so that's a huge blow to DC on both sides of the ball and Special teams. I will laugh forever when anybody says hey our team is better than yours at every spot. What an idotic thing to say. Here is a true statement. My son said Coach Trapp told the kids that LAs Head Coach said that No team this Year the first half played them harder and we all know how much help the got the first half on top of that. So good luck LA especially if you have to playa good team on the road.

Keep calling me an idiot, only one of us keeps looking like one. Bottom line, I told you LA would roll. You thought you knew more than you did, and got exposed AGAIN.

I had LA by 32 so I was off one point.  Although I thought DeKalb would actually score.  90 yards of total offense doesn't cut it. Westmoreland (7-2) and Upperman (10-7) games were closer the first half. I may be missing another but don't think so. Also LA beat Upperman on the road.

Trueblue you can't in any way possible say that LA didn't get home cooking last night.  You can't tell me they don't always get it. It's absolutely sad and pathetic  I truly think they should be somebody at every home game from TSSAA because sorry at this point it's not just Luck they always get the calls. A TD pass caught 3 yards out of bounds of corse on there sidelines. A Pass interference call while the QB is still holding the ball. A running back completely gets crushed on a tackle and keeps running but not down. A catch that skips into the WRs hands but a catch. DC clearly gets a first down on 4th in 2 inches and gets it easily but marked short. By the way WRs can't set picks and you guys have always done that BS. You want to bring up the upperman game to lol. Like you guys didn't get all the calls that night to. Upperman would beat you the next 9 times if you played 10.  Yes you guys were better than us. But it makes me sick that we can never go to LA and play on an even field. You as a fan should not enjoy games that aren't even yet yall absolutely don't mind winning the right way or wrong as long as you win.

You're working yourself into a frenzy. Calls go both ways every game. The TD pass was a TD. No way you could have seen it as clearly over in the visitors stands. I get that. For the pass interference, I don't even know which play you are talking about. Your DBs got away with a lot of defensive holding but, hey, it's only a penalty if you get caught. It is what it is. For running back play, no idea what you're talking about. DC was stopped on 4th. QBs forward momentum was stopped, the ref blew the whistle, then he surged forward. So we take our "own" refs with us AND we keep them at home?  Just so you'll feel better, we would be 0-7 without the refs this year. Now you can rest easy tonight.

Look I'm not and would not say Livingston wasnt the better team. They were. The comment about the DBs I just think it's the first time you guys played a team with DBs. To say they hold because your all state WR had 1 catch in 3 quaters is sad. That DB has shut down everybody all yr long. So now he cheats to do it lol. 11 is the Best WRs I've seen since the Maplewood game last yt. Do I say he cheats. Even 22 played him really good yeah he scored on 1 who literally is 5 foot 3 at most and was only in because 15 was hurt.  The QB was way beyond 2 inches as soon as they blew the whistle he was over the line unless your saying the whistle blew immediately which playing there would make since.  Still haven't herd if 15 is OK has anyone herd anything because DC honestly isn't deep at experience yeah there full of talented freshman and sophomores but we're near playoffs they gotta have experience now. It's on to smith. Good luck LA. You will kill white this week.

    • Lee would have been a good choice, also.  I'm sure Benny was involved with the decision.
    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
