The private schools are sucking all the good kids out of the metro schools and what ever is leftover can go wherever they want. Metro needs a fix and not just in sports. All the money dropped into the schools facilities with new stadiums and now they can't even field a team. Glencliff football is a big part of metro football history with kids playing in the NFL. All the best to the school team and coaches. Good luck and keep fighting for your program.

Coaches from BA, BGA, CPA, MBA & Ensworth hang out at UNA & Jefferson St. Youth Football games on Saturdays.

Ryan and Lipscomb too.

And you can see the  same fellas at Metro middle school games.

And it is all against the rules but if the TSSAA will not do anything. If they would enforce the rules it might help all the metro schools. In Rutherford and Sumner County I know schools are being turned in and nothing is being done. At least they are fighting them.

I believe this game with Hillwood will be highly competitive.  With Hillwood losing to HL earlier this year, this game could go either way.  Hope both teams come out injury free.

Football program back on a week to week bases according to the Tennessean . Glencliff will play friday night . I think against Hillwood .

I tried to join Greenback during a teachers strike many moons ago. I never forgave Blount County Schools for that strike. They locked us out of the facilities too.

Some of these same coaches are making it to Sumner Co middle school games too.
