The losses buy both TCA and Jackson Christian this past Friday really put a big dent into their playoff hopes. Jackson Christians position is a little bit worse as they only have three region games left. Two of those are against Nashville Christian and Davidson Academy while the other one is against rival TCA. They would most definitely be considered underdogs in at least two of the remaining three games.

TCA is in a slightly better position. However, that is only because they have four region games remaining as opposed to the three remaining for Jackson Christian. Like the eagles, TCA has brutal games against Nashville Christian and Davidson Academy remaining on its schedule plus a rivalry game against Jackson Christian.

Columbia Academy put themselves back into the playoff picture with a big win at Jackson Christian this past Friday. That makes their game against TCA this coming Friday a very important matchup for both teams. It is my opinion that this matchup is a playoff game for both teams. While the team that loses is not eliminated, it would make their chances of making the dance much more difficult. Early prognostications would indicate that there is also a possibility of a three-way tie for the final two positions or a two-way tie for the final position. This is just my opinion thinking way ahead but it should make for some interesting conversation.

    • I used to think like that many many moons ago.  I wondered the same questions but learned that it is just not that easy.  Hiring assistant coaches can be complicated at times.  It takes a few years for HC’s to get who they feel is right for their system.  Couple that with good assistant coaches getting better jobs at times and leaving your program. More to it than some think.  I think you have a good coach up there and time will tell that story.
    • okay.  Like i said initially, it's question we have to ask, but we sure don't know the answer yet.
    • You’re right, I shouldn’t jump the gun on it. Hopefully it isn’t related to the sports programs, because it’ll end up affecting a lot of innocent kids who just enjoy playing sports.
    • I totally agree but just don’t want to see people jumping the gun by insinuating it was for athletic reasons. Nobody knows at the moment except for those involved in the incident itself and those investigating.
    • Bruh, That portion of the post was simply a product of my imagination. Try to keep up.  The real purpose of the post was to rub salt in this fresh wound following FF’s departure to BGA.
