Tennessee High at David Crockett

This game should determine who wins the region. Tennessee High is a scary team to play right now. Any thoughts on this game?

I think Crockett will win, but Tennessee High is way better than most people think.     They could have beaten us 60-0 if they wanted to.

I am way over here in Middle Tennessee but just wondering how good either of these teams really are.  I do not really see the impressive win on their schedule so this is intriguing to me.  Can either one of these teams beat the Knoxville gauntlet of good teams?

When you cross the Knox County line from NET something happens.... Not sure what it is, but even mediocre Knoxville teams seem to be in a different universe come playoff time.    So in 5A the answer is "No", neither Crockett nor Tenn High will get past Knox Central, Powell, etc.     That is not to take anything away from the great season both of these teams are going to have, but you have to realize that in NET football (5A/6A) is really not that important like it is in other areas of the state.

I knew Crockett had some big time playmakers returning but did not know if they even stood a chance at denying the Knoxville folks come playoff time.

I believe Crockett is a better team this year. We haven’t played our starters more than 3 quarters in awhile. Defense has been stout

Not Boone, not Crockett, not Tenn High, not DB, not Science Hill, etc.       Jefferson County made it in 1987, Morristown West in 2003.     Looks to me like it is pretty slim pickin's getting past the Knox County line.     It would be monumental if you made it this year, I'm just saying that history is NOT on the side of NET teams
