When the pg left...I thought hmmm but when Randy Brady left...I knew something had to be wrong with that situation. Coach Speedy from Harding left to be his assistant this year. Rumor was, he was supposed to be the next  guy in place but it was said that Smith would coach another year or 2...

Randy Brady is going to a stronger basketball school. Not sure that decision is any reflection on the coaching situation at BA.

What about the pg? Who left for Pearl Cohn? Did he leave for a stronger basketball school? Hasn't Brentwood been in the state championship game 4 out of 6 years? Now all of a sudden the basketball at Brentwood not that strong? Nah, I don't buy it and not saying anything negative about the guy or the kids..just saying..all of sudden, resign, nah..doesn't add up...or maybe just maybe..he just knows..that run is over...I saw Brentwood during the summer...they didn't look to hot...

What if that pg wants to play NCAA D1 basketball and needs to meet the sliding scale requirement for GPA to ACT/SAT? Transferring to an easier academic school would help boost the GPA. I have no evidence that this was an issue, but going from BA to PC will certainly help the GPA, no question.

Brentwood is one of the best academic schools in the whole state..he should already have that wrapped up by now. I'm sure that's why he transferred there right? To Brentwood in the first place because he hasn't always been there..true? If I'm mistaken, forgive me...Although that may help, I don't think it will because in the senior year, one shouldn't be worrying about sliding scale requirement for GPA..

    • If someone needed their grades pumped up surley it would have to be for someone needing it to get to another level. If your intending on going to work right after high school it wouldn't matter. Why would someone in their right mind think if they screwed it up in high school that their ready for college. It has to be for an athlete to get them over the fence to get in and from that point the school their going to will cheat them through the rest of the way for their athletic skills just like the rest.
    • The new school will be on that road behind Home Depot next to a church. I'm wondering if this could take from Greenback or could it be the end of Greenback, they only have 200 students.
    • Yeah it will take the county kids in that area that were going to lenior city. They will move down to 4a I think

    • That's utterly ridiculous. No way a public school pays money to get rid of a coach. They just fire them. There's no coaching contract it's year to year.
