Your exactly right and the Blackman game was 14-7 at the half.  They  had to work hard and were given a couple scores on turnovers to win.  WC will compete this week even if they get beat.

 Define compete..  Do you mean actually have a chance to win in the 4th quarter? OR do you mean try hard and play hard?

 

I think you will get the latter (good kids always try to play hard).... but no where near the prior 

 

You say "even if they get beat" as if they won't get beat..... You must not see much high school football around here. Oakland is on another level. There are only a handful of teams in the state that can challenge them and WC is not one of them.

48-7 Oakland... WC is much improved, but Oakland will not leave the 1.s and 2.s  in for long

Would "ill intent" include calling time out with 8 seconds left in the half, with the ball on the 2 yard line, up 52-6, so that you can score one more TD before halftime?

It's the 1st half, any coach would have tried to score.

Playing the game Friday helped no one. In fact, it probably hurt CC more considering the lost gate and concessions for their program.  The crowd looked like 2 bad metro teams on a Friday Night.
