Really good, Campbell is a good 3A team that went 28-5 last year and they have a D1 post player. I think it’s going to be a good year for the lady tigers.

Meigs 40 Jefferson Co 22

 Meigs 53 Campbell Co 48

Dadof2 do you have a scouting report on the Middle Tennessee teams you will have to play in the Sub State? Upperman, Dekalb, Cannon, Livingston?

Yes there good lol, I will get to see Upperman in December at the Greeneville tournament, I have a feeling that’s who will play, if we take care of business in the region.

Meigs will run away with district and region and it won't be close. I'm not so sure Central will finish second.  Lots of key losses from last year. I'm afraid this year could be humbling.  But in the end Meigs will dominate this year and next.

Since girls basketball is the ONLY team sports program that Central can boast about, this doesn't sound good.

Macon is favored to win that region, I think Upperman gets the 2 seed, and if we can win the region tournament, we would play Upperman, (IF) it works out that way.

Last week I said it's critical to win Region this year if a team wants to have a chance to make it to state. I think region champ Central has lost the last three sectional games at the Round House. I think Meigs could have beat a not so great Dekalb last year in sectionals, but they lost to Central when it counted in the region championship.

Yes I agree with everything you said. I watched Central Saturday and the gap between them and Meigs is big, I think they will get better though the year because Morgan is a good coach but I don’t think it will matter. I think Meigs wins the district and region this year, and they have a very good chance to make it to state, and they have a good schedule to get them ready.

Meigs does play a very tough non district schedule which will only help them. They'll probably lose a few of those games but that should only make them hungrier.

Your (Meigs) girls looked really good!  Good assessment, as I do believe that Central girls will improve throughout the season.

I’m still talking Central to finish second in the district, most teams in the district have one or two good players, but Central has enough talent to get there. The way I see it.

Meigs

Central

Sweetwater

Sequoyah

Loudon

Polk

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
