I know a couple of the football players were back and played. Don't 100% know their roster to know if they were missing anyone else.

Solid start for White County over Hixson last night. Not sure of the exact final score, but the clock didn't stop in the 4th quarter because of the 35+ point lead. Slatten scored 37 points even though he sat out the last 3 minutes of the 3rd and didn't play at all in the 4th quarter.

yowzers--Over/Under Hixson winning 3 games this year?

All kidding aside, should get a better idea against Mcminn Co 

 

CHS lost a tough one to Lebanon by 3.  I like the new look Cavs.  Still seemed to have one of their projected starters out.  I think he may have been hurt during football.  Cavs have 2 games Saturday as they host a hall of fame day.  West Creek and Cumberland Co

White County got off to a slow start in the first quarter Friday night and then cruised to a 90-67 win over Mcminn County.  Slatten led with 34 points.

Stone Memorial with two good wins today against a very athletic West Creek and East Hamilton. Great team basketball! Fun to watch.

CHS picked up 2 wins yesterday as well.  Beat West Creek by 25 and kind of sputtered down the stretch to a 78-72 win over Cumberland Co.

White County lost to a solid Siegel team tonight 73 to 60. WC led by 6 after the first. WC trailed by one at the half. Trailed by 4 after the third. WC couldn't buy a bucket in the 4th.

WC played at undefeated Monterey tonight. Monterey came out on fire and led by 16 early. WC scratched and clawed to finally tie it up and force the game into overtime. WC escapes with a 2 point win!!!

We have to regroup quickly because Coffee County comes to White County tomorrow night.

I didn’t see the game but I listened on the radio. Monterey led almost entire game.  Led by a lot early.  WC chopped away at the lead throughout the second half.  With less than :20 left,  WC had the ball trailing Monterey by 3.  And with 2 seconds on clock,  the officials called a foul on a 3pt shot.   Slatten made all 3 FT which completed the comeback and sent game to OT.  OT came down to final possession with Monterey failing to score as time expired.  76-78 WC.  Great game.  Tough way to lose but Monterey showed they can play with anyone.

We didn't exactly  crawl our way back into the game. We had a gift horse. We had to start fouling and Monterey couldn't make their foul shots so we won. If they had 50 percent from the foul line we would have still lost by double digits

Monterey went into stall mode at about the 4-5 minute mark of the 4th quarter. They wouldn't even attempt an open layup. That along with missed free throws cost them the game. They were definitely on fire from 3 point range in the first quarter. 5 of 6 i think.
