There's been several other "closer than should have been" games in the first round over the years. Beside 2006 there's 2004, 2007, 2009

Always seem like they are off their game in the first round a tad. Even if it's a 3 score win, they don't play well. Just..........off a tad.

2006 Brainerd game was one of those games where Brainerd got every break you could get. Maryville outgained them 500 TDs to 120. 2 fumbles landed perfectly in fast Brainerd kids hands that they returned for TDs. Maryville had 6 turnovers that game.  

 

2007 Maryville led Rhea County 35 0 in 3rd quarter.  Maryville started subbing.  Rhea left starters in and scored 18 quick points.  Quarles put 1st string back in to put it away. 

 

Bradley played well in 2013.

 

Last 2 years Bearden wasn't a typical 4 seed. 

 

Warren County played tough in 2015.
