this matchup intrigues me. my first thought is this game will not last long because traditionally both teams love to run the ball. 2 years ago i was very surprised in the lack of creativity in play calling by lexington. Everyone in the stadium knew where the ball was going. Heritage on the other and this year had very good play calling, they seemed to dial up the perfect play at the perfect time, their offensive co is very good in my opinion. Lexington has the advantage with homefield advantage but Heritage has got hot at the right time. I am gonna go with Heritage in a close one if they can avoid turnovers. I could see this another nail biter for them.

Sad part is that we had that game won. 3rd & goal on the 3 yd line with 1:20 left & we decided to go all Seattle Seahawks & throw it twice instead of power running.

Your assessment of the Tigers was thorough and accurate, but the "mistakes" of the past two seasons could be what gives Lexington their best shot. I can remember some impressive Tiger teams and regular season records from the recent past that didn't turn out well in the playoffs because they were so one dimensional. The one that sticks out the most was an undefeated Tiger team that fell at home to 5-5 Page, simply because Lexington couldn't do the one thing that they had ridden all season. Page loaded the box and stuffed out the ground and pound, and Lexington had nothing else to offer... their defense held Page to (if I remember correctly) only six points, but six was enough.

Coach Hollingsworth needs to do what Lexington does best, but it would help if they could keep the opposition honest with the threat of scoring through the air.

I'm leaning with White House Heritage in this one, if the Patriots can do their business and limit their mistakes. Lexington's issue has always been the fact that can't find any balance in their offense, and that's why this team has been pretenders for a few years when November rolls around. I watched this team play North Side (without their best player) and the Indians gave them the game in the 2nd half. However, don't be surprised if they throw the ball if WH's defense bring their safeties down and load the box. In terms of throwing, they don't really throw the ball deep downfield, just mainly short and shallow routes.

Unfortunately, Region 6-4A has been disappointing this year. I thought it was Hardin County's district to lose, and they did their job. Chester County went 0-10, Liberty did improve in terms of the win column, but they're definitely not good at all. South Side dropped in terms of talent, and North Side lost their best player and potential Mr. Football candidate. Somebody had to finish 2nd, and it was given to a mediocre Lexington football team.

White House 35-17.

Yup. Don't have to throw it 25 times, but you need to be able to when you must.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
