Not sure how you can say that the west chases the middle in this division. Since 2009, only one east team has won this division (Webb, multiple times). CPA has 1, Lausanne has 2, and St. George’s has 2. I get that not all the teams currently in the division were D2 prior and I’m not saying a middle/east team doesn’t win because like I said previously I think the division is WIDE open this year. Just seems like a bit of a stretch to say that the west is behind. Though, in most public divisions, the west is definitely lacking behind. Good luck to all teams. I think this could be a very fun playoff season.

since 2009...only 2 teams have won this division....Luzianne has only 1 and thats over ND .....your right about the Presbyterians 1

Spartys old Haslams School of Knoxville does not have a Gold Ball in this division

Booger just sayin

Wilson made good points and I frankly didn't do a good job of explaining myself.

I believe this division is changing big time. The introduction of a number of quality programs into D2 will forever change the complexion of it. It takes time for new D2 schools to get scholarship kids in (usually as 9th graders) and build their programs to compete with traditional D2 schools. But I see that as already changing and going to keep that trend. In the publics, many of the now D2 new schools had quality programs. Those schools have now moved to D2. That is going to have an impact in time. Maybe this year, maybe in a couple more. I think you are going to see a stronger East, just like in the public division in the past, going forward in D2.

Agree with this 100%. Those new teams that have come over will definitely have something to say about who wins the gold ball for years to come. I do think a big part of the East dominating the West in the public division has to do with coaching. This division has some very good coaching staffs in the west compared to the public divisions. That’s not to say there aren’t great staffs in the middle and east as well, because there most certainly are. Sets up for a very competitive division moving forward!

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
