I was just looking over Cloudland's schedule and I didn't realize they played Hampton twice??   I'm sure that was arranged with Coach Lunsford was still over the Cloudland program, but I don't remember ever seeing that before.  Anyone else seen that?

I noticed it when the schedule first came out.

To be honest, I see nothing wrong with it.  You prolly don't either.

And also, I don't think  a school has to schedule anyone other than their regional opponents.

Let's say there's 6 teams in a region.  That's 5 region games.  A school can schedule each of their five regional opponents twice for a total of 10 games.  Only the first of the two games will count towards the region standings.  The other 5 will be regarded as out of region in the standings.

Never seen it happen but I suppose it's a possibility.

I didn't say anything was wrong with it.   Just thought it was unusual and I haven't seen it before.

Not been long ago they did it every year, Cloudland went through a spell where no one would play them and Hamptons coach helped them out.  Really a good game for both. Always got a gate and most times the games are competitive.

2002 was the last time they played each other twice a year until this year.

It's not unusual, it just doesn't happen very often...Greenback played Vonore(district opponent also) twice in reg. season six years in a row from 1981-86.
