Until 1998, TSSAA Wrestling was only one division.  In 1998, it split into two divisions, then later three divisions.  In this time, there has been only one (to the best of my knowledge) to not only wrestle in all three divisions, but to put at least one wrestler into the individual state final of each division.

Can you name this school?

Oh dang, I see Ghouse actually beat me to it.  "Knowitall"

Yeah I think Hamm is going to have to throw out some harder trivia.

And I think the answer to CBG's question is not many have had the opportunity.  You would probably need to look for any that have gone from small school to DII and vice versa.

Is Notre Dame the only team to compete in all 3?

Actually I remember CAK had a couple of A/AA champs a couple of years ago and a guy win DII this past year but not sure if they ever had a AAA champ

They haven't competed at the AAA level. They've had a few who could have won AAA titles if they weren't already in another classification, but CAK didn't have a team before the split in '98.

    • Not sure how I would put it as recruiting perhaps kids trying to better their career by going to a head coach and coaching staff with connections all over college football that gets them the opportunity to go play college football and be coached by a coach with a pretty good track record.
    • Lee would have been a good choice, also.  I'm sure Benny was involved with the decision.
    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
