SG never really challenged after we gifted them first two scores!!

Not sure this is an accurate statement about a game that wasn't decided until there was only 30 seconds left on the clock. Covington did what they had to do to win the game just as SGC did in the first matchup. It was a great battle to watch between 2 really good football teams. I said it when these 2 played the first time, turnovers, special teams, penalties are the difference makers in games with teams evenly matched.  It was a great defense war. SGC had a great season and will continue to be in the top tier of one of the toughest regions in the state. Good luck to the Chargers in the games to come.

Thanks. Y'all are headed to Cookeville, it appears. Hope to see y'all at Ralph's Donuts.

I’m not familiar with Ralph’s.  However, if  (and that’s a big if) we make it to Cookeville, I’ll definitely check them out.  Did you ever have donuts from the Kream Kastle (in B’ville) during the 60s?  They were the best!

I do want to congratulate SGC on a great season.  The Hornets were well-coached, disciplined, motivated, and consistent in every game they played. They have definitely established themselves as one of the best programs in Tennessee.

Ralph's is a famous spot in Cookeville. It was there when I was a Tenn Tech student over 50 years ago. Yeah, I think I remember the Kream Castle too.

    • Well well well,  It was just a matter of time before the wheels fell plumb off the dragon wagon, and that pos  is sittin' over on highway 61 #### up in the ditch.   I called it 2 years ago everybody thought it was so cute with the church van and the K-town basement boys.   And here we are.  This is about to get fugly.  It's a mess and it's about to go public.   Investigators are just now scratching the surface.  Stay tuned.  Watch the news in the next few nights. Just when you thought you had seen it all, here we go......................
    • I am betting on that one too. They will rock 4A. Many don't see it coming.
    • So Reado left because Smith left? That seems like Smith just pulled the rug out from under him and left Reado hanging. Why didn't Reado just stay on and coach O-Line. I am sure he could have done a great job. He has been successful before at CAK and Grace Christian of Knoxville. Is private Christian School coaching that much different than coaching public school, and it also being BHS at that?
    • What do you mean they’re exaggerated? In the time he’s been there he has officially hired 10 coaches who are no longer a part of the program. That is a fact. If anything I’m underreporting the number who have left. Only one left for a better job. Having that high of a turnover rate is a major red flag.
