6a is staying and TSSAA is going to have us grow into it. There are schools being built and population is increasing in the metropolitan areas. The greater nashville metro area will add schools, and I don't know if anyone has driven down I40 west heading to the I40-I75 interchange but there are hundred upon hundred of houses going up in that area. They are going to have to build another school or adjust zoning because Hardin Valley and Farragut can't absorb all those students.

I wouldn't mind a Z-plan return if it's done with more explanations to the coaches and fans on how the playoff participants are determined. Too many at least publicly claimed they had no idea what was going on.

Keep the six class playoff system, but tighten the regular season classes to five or four, to lower region travel distances on the average and return some rivalry games that have to be scheduled non region. That's what the Z plan did but there were 3 regular season classes, some coaches, probably with good reason, said the size difference among the schools was too much.

Regular Season:

Split into three?  All I did was make a hypothetical with teams current regions.  Obviously this would need many adjustments.

Form Eight Conferences(Regions) in each class.  You play all schools in your class in your region then make up the remainder of the schedule with other conference teams however the conference  determines or the TSSAA decides(don't really care).

Playoffs:

Top half of each class (LARGE/small) in are automatic qualifiers.  For example AAA Region 1- 4 LARGE SCHOOL automatic qualifiers and two small school automatic qualifiers.  AAA Region 2- 2 LARGE SCHOOL automatics Qualifiers and 3 small school automatic qualifiers.  They would need 2 at large qualifiers to fill out their bracket in the Large classification and 3 at large qualifiers in the small schools.

If the combination of the two regions qualifiers exceeds 8 then all subsequent qualifiers will be pooled with the at large teams and will travel in the first round.

Remaining at large teams selected from best overall records in each class and they will travel in the first round.

I've never understood what was so complicated about the Z plan. Don't get me wrong, I was never a fan of it, but it was all laid out in black and white, folks were just too lazy to try to figure it out.

Folks wouldn't look at the whole picture and realize in week 11 a team winning and making the cut on the west side of the state would bump a team from middle TN with a better record than you into your quad which in turn would move you from a 4 seed to a 5 seed.

    • Things don’t change that dramatically all at once lol. Fulton is the result of a few decades, at least. But yeah, my main point is the obviousness of all the kids he’s brought in there.
    • Ever heard of fulton high school? Things change Im not saying your wrong or right. I just think that AC is worried Clinton might catch them if whatever they are doing continues. I know he is bringing kids in
    • Both places Woods has been at have gotten better pretty quickly after his arrival. If you can win consistently in Metro while having to fend off the vultures from picking your roster clean, your doing something right
    • They typically have a handful of black kids (nothing at all wrong with that, it’s great), but these past few years both sides of the ball have been primarily black kids. Again, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, in general, all I’m saying is that the past few seasons or so, the teams demographics just doesn’t match what it has been, historically speaking. And that didn’t start, until Keith got there. That’s all I’m saying. Rather odd how that just starts magically happening ever since he got there.
    • I have always known Clinton and the football team to be diverse. Not saying its like Knox but I would say more so than you're leading onto. Maybe more kids are wanting to play for a minority coach like that OL that commityed to Colorado over UT due to Deion "looking like him"- Jordan Seaton
