Waco was at the game. He texted me on the way home to congratulate us on the win. He forgot his phone  at home. He might have been pulling my lag on that one... I think he likes to be mysterious

That's funny!       Murvil did not stomp DB last night due to having players who were that much superior.  (Don't misunderstand, there are good players all over the field for the Rebels, but it's not like 18 of them are headed to D1 colleges next year).     No, the Rebels put it to the Tribe because of:

• Coaching, making the adjustments necessary as the game progressed, having the team well prepared
• Near flawless execution
• Playing as a team....  Never were there 11 Rebels on the field, there was ONE Rebel consisting of 11 guys
• Protecting the ball.....   The only acceptable turnover is the ones your grandma makes from scratch.
• Depth and conditioning

But on the other hand, DB had an outstanding season and played light years beyond anybody's expectations.     I look for more of the same next year, i.e., DB will probably win R1/6A and curbstomp the 1 or 2 Tri-cities teams they play.

I thought DB slipped a little at the end of the regular season losing to Science Hill, then Alcoa, I was hoping they would hang in and give Maryville a better game, but sounded like turnovers made it worse than it should be.

True story. I came out of the house wearing a big yellow hooded rain coat and my buddies laughed and said I looked like a school bus. Said I'd hold up traffic. So I ran back in the house and changed coats. Left my cell phone in that school bus coat with rebelwomans # stored. So I had to wait 'till I got home to text her. I missed a good chance to meet her and Stars at the game. I actually thought about writing WaCoJaCo on a piece of cardboard and walk down In front of the visitors side but figured one of the "good ole boys" would take a swing at me.

It was on Twitter earlier today. And you could have met most of the Mafia last night. Me, Stars, Greyrider, Old Rebel2 and MLReb were all on the 50. Oh and Mama had her own row...

Well I tried.  Stood right in front of them, just before pre-game show, in a DB jacket and cap and asked for StarsNBars or RebelWoman. Everbody looked like I was stupid.  Of course that was before I knew they were on the 50. Probably was stupid standing in Rebel country with DB gear on.

Now I understand tho.  Waco was ALL they wanted to see.

The lady you asked about stars and bars was right in front of me. She asked OldRebel2  what you were talking about. We were on the back row. Not every Maryville fan knows what CoachT is.
