0-500 approx. 152 schools 19 teams per region. 9 or 10 teams per district.  leave the post season process the way it is now

501-1000 approx 139 schools 17 teams per region 8 or 9 teams per district. leave the post season process the way it is now

1001-1500 approx 68 schools 8 teams per region 4 teams for district. take top 2 teams from each district to the region instead of top 4

I like this idea.  I would do away with districts in the two larger classes and just play region schedules, similar to football.  

I suspect that 4 evenly split classes is the more likely outcome

All schools split evenly, with current schools and enrollment numbers.

A 0-388 Students 83 Schools

AA 389-734 Students 84 School

AAA 735-1184 Students 84 Schools

AAAA 1185-2513 Students  84 Schools

That looks a whole lot better then what we got with 3 classes. Schools with enrollments of 1000 going against schools with more than double that is ridiculous.

If I had my preference, I would make all schools with enrollments above 1400 AAAA then split the remaining schools into 3 equal classes.

With this idea, 4A would have 57 Schools. 

So A 0-421 92 Schools

AA 421- 820 92 Schools

AAA 821- 1399  93 Schools

AAAA 1400 - 2513 57 Schools

I have recently heard about 5 classes as well, so the breakdown for that split evenly would look like this.

67 Schools per Class

A 0- 330 67 Schools

AA 331- 556 67 Schools

AAA 557- 900 67 Schools

AAAA 901- 1333 67 Schools

AAAAA 1334- 2513 67 Schools

With 5 Classes Districts are going to be smaller and travel times further. Possibly less districts and regions and less people in each class making the state tournament.  If you look at single A 3 to four teams in each district and upwards of 2 hours of travel time.

I think this whole public private split has been disastrous to basketball. Especially in the single a classification. If you brought back in some of the smaller private schools then the districts would be bigger and travel time would be cut way down.
