Read my post again where I said "RANDOM"kids at "RANDOM" places and some schools excel at certain sports which skew the numbers.

Now with that being said name 3 more schools with 300 kids or less that would beat a William Blount size school on the regular?

Memphis Mitchell, Middleton, Memphis East.

none of those schools are under 300 and they are all in the second largest city in the state. I get what you're trying to say that Memphis is good at Basketball...got it! The stats are still there, the more you have to choose from the more likely you are to have talent. They're literally 500,000 more people in Memphis than in the entirety of Blount county.

Why not put all of the school's back together, then separate into 6 divisions with private schools suffering a 2.0 or 2.5 multiplier? That would brings closer teams for district and region play. That would eliminate small school's playing private schools for the most part. Plus you only have 6 championships instead of 8+.

Can this actually be done and still keep Districts? Or, will it have to be regions like football?

12 groups in each class, about 75 schools per class, would be ideal if I remember the breakdowns. You might have to have 4 sectionals with teams from 3 districts/regions in each.

Been there, done that... never again, and more teams at the 'Boro means more cash for TSSAA.

    • Congratulations to Coach Runyon. He seemed to do a good job when I watched his teams play. He didn't coach like he was ready to retire. With that being said... both coaching positions in the same district open... which one of these jobs is the best job and why?  also, it is a coincidence that they both leave at the same time...

    • good points. I guess the question is do the coaches need to be out of the classroom and get paid for just coaching. maybe move the coaching jobs to just coaching and no teaching. that would open up the coaching ranks to some good coaches that are not qualified to teach. Then you could do contracts and pay them whatever you want to pay them. move the positions to contracts.  Just like college. Thoughts?
    • It's not just DB, I don't think any of the NET big schools will ever be relevant in football.      Meaning in the playoffs.....
