West at Central - For a trip to State!

This one is a toss-up to me. Both West and Central look tremendously focused and have played with a chip on their shoulders in this post-season. No doubt that these are the top two 5A teams in East TN. That said, I still think Central got a little lucky with that long TD that won the game last week, so I'm leaning West in a one-score affair.

And before bobcat jumps on me for saying that, kudos to his kids for showing the resiliency to win that game. Central has certainly been there before, and it showed in their win versus SD.

For real the tackling on that play was suspect.  If it happened in a higher level they'd have to investigate for gambling corruption.

Lol, you’ve got a bad read on me buddy. I’m not gonna jump on you for predicting West to win or for saying that was a lucky play. Was that long pass luck?,very well was. Could we have still went down and scored on that drive still? , most definitely. Thankfully our players made plays when they had to. As for Friday’s game, idk. There’s still today and tomorrow of practice and I usually can’t get a read on our kids til Thursday anyway. Mark my words, Low scoring defensive game. I guess I’ve got some sort of bad rap on here because I challenged the word of the almighty HTV. I speak the truth when I open my mouth, how it’s interpreted is another story.

Honestly, this doesn't have anything to do with HTV. We're all entitled to our own opinions. I just didn't want you to think I was taking anything away from Central by calling that last TD a little lucky.

Nah your good. Like I said I’ll be the first to admit that particular play was luck. I’m just glad the phantom roughing the kicker call on us didn’t cost us the game on SDs field goal to take the lead. The refs made some very “interesting” calls in that game. But it’s history, focusing on and old Region 3 4a rivalry game to see who goes to State.

Thought it was "running into"... and they did run into him, however slightly.

You wanna split hairs, ok. Indeed it was Running into. Either way, bad call. Could clearly see on our Hudl Sideline that our player was blocked into him. Can’t see it on Diamond clear, but on Hudl it’s plain as day. Like I said, just thankful it didn’t cost us the game.

Yeah no disrespect but I agree with guthook, I could care less at this point. We have to focus on beating West first before we worry about anyone else. I’ve been keeping up with that side of the bracket and I’ve seen some clips of both Dyer Co and Summit. Both are good teams, Dyer has a NT that’s HUGE and runs well for his size. But not worried about them, focused on West.

They both have to be pretty good to have gotten this far. But it's like Bobcat said, one at a time! I'm not going to give a prediction on our game because I just don't. I'll just be happy with a win.

Should be one heck of a game tomorrow night. I would expect a big crowd for this one. Best of luck to both teams.
