I said on our show last Wednesday this may be the toughest I've ever seen class 1A.   You have 4 legitimate teams with each worthy of a State Title any other year.   I'd put any of these four teams up against last year's final participants and they would (at the very least) be very competitive and likely win the title in 2018.

Last year there were 5 teams that could have hoisted the Gold ball in 1A.  Huntingdon only lost to the Silver ball recipient Cornersville by a score of 13-7.  Whitwell the Gold ball recipient over SP in double O.T. 34-28 and over Greenback on practically the last play of the game 24-21.   Whitwell over Cornersville by a score of 7-6.  

When there's parity it makes for a thrilling season and ending.   Also on the other hand, being so close is absolutely heartbreaking.
