I don't wish any ill will against the county schools but in all honesty their biggest problem is all the kids walking the halls that won't play, not the 2 or 3 that came to Maryville or even Greenback. Maryville and Alcoa have traded so many players in between each other I can't even count the number anymore but you never see any of them take option number #3, one of The County Schools and the funniest thing about it in most cases the parents were County Grads.

Grimes definitely shouldn't be the #1 player in the state. He isn't even the best player on his team unfortunately. Good top 5 but not  the best.

He's the top on his team and in the state because of his measurables. It has ALWAYS been about his measurables. It has NEVER been about game performance with him. In fact, it's like that with  lot of major high D-1 prospects. He's a freak of nature with his size AND speed.

Spoken like someone who understands college recruiting.  You have a lot of options with 6’5 240lb running a 4.4-4.5  40 on the laser.  Throw in the fact that he isn’t a kid who has been held back in school, he will easily add 30-40 lbs.

Got to see the replay of the Maryville and Oakland game.  Maryville is not a team that will be able to move the ball on the ground against Ravenwood like they were able to do against Oakland.  Now, with that said.  Maryville is a complete football team, and they will will adjust to whatever Ravenwood brings.  Maryville 28 and Ravenwood 17.

So very true!  He looks good in a uniform and he performs well at the various combines.  The key will be if OU can get him to play up to his ranking.  I am not convinced that Alabama and Tennessee recruited him extremely hard.
