State Championship was last night in Cookeville. Central was the better team. Leave it at that. Can't take away from the season Summit had. All the imaginary games are meaningless. The stage was too big last night for a young Summit team. It was obvious. They have a good chance to be back. Congrats to Central!

Not taking nothing away from Summit congrats to them. Summit put everything in 2 players Central used several

I agree with what you say but Summit is not a young team.  Yes the twins are sophomores but they had 7-8 seniors start on offense and 7-8 on defense.  They lose a lot.  Now with those twins they will still be very good

Blah blah blah.. summit wasnt the best team from the west. Take your shoulda couldas and wouldas to the bank and see what its worth.. I know you people think east Tennessee is the only place football is played. We all know the Knoxville teams get to take advantage of the open recruiting in Knoxville.  Here we have hard lines were 1 team cant just suck up all the talent in the area.  West, powell and SD all had their chance . They didn't make it... Summit did.

Not sure about Knoxville but Summit does have it pretty good in getting their share athletes transferring in.  They border Spring Hill and they get many players that live I. Maury county going to their school. Principals doesn't bother to check addresses so make it convenient.   Also they always seem to get transfers eleigivle.  Example now is they have 2 basketball players transfer in 1 from Centennial and the other from Grace Christian.  Williamson County is no saint when it comes to those type things like most believe.

All I was saying is that several of Summits key players are sophomores. They are also a young team in that the school is still building its history only being maybe ten years old. They had never been to the state championship and were inexperienced in that department. Saying other school would have beaten Summit is not fair or cannot be proven. 5A was very open this year. There were a handful pf teams that could have given Central a good game including Summit. Great year for them.

I think it would have been interesting to see Shelbyville against Central or even Gallatin.

Blah blah blah sounds like your making an excuse because they lost. Saying hard lines. Summit had there chance and got beat as well. Summitt couldn’t beat west Powell or south Doyle

Not even a summit fan. I dont have a dog in the race. Its has ZERO to do with if you dinggle barries think this team could beat that team. Its football anything can happen. Explain how ZERO 1 seeds made it to state or even the quarter finals. Like I said the best team in the west didn't  make it to state. Henry county matches up way better with the Knoxville teams. We've played them 3 times and won 2 of them.  We got comfortable in the playoffs in round 3 with a 24-7 lead at the half and got caught playing safty football.  And summit just barely won against that team . We beat them 48-14 in week 3. So anything can happen in the playoffs.  We went 9-14 last year against Knoxville central.  We would not have lost 7-30 like summit did. We may not have won. But we wouldn't have duced in the bed as bad summit did. There I said it .. Henry county was the best team out of the west this year..

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
