Exactly my point about Meadows ... If this is not true I apologize to him , but if this is true then these kids that once again have bought in to what Meadows is selling , are hurt once again .

The younger guys def bought in, the freshmen and sophmores.  This will be Carter's 5th coach in 5 years if Meadows is gone.  I just can't see this being true with him knowing this and having the support he did from a large group of players and parents.  It will take the program a long time to recover.

Carter is a tough place to win. The community there is strong, but it is one of those places "if you ain't from here". It, along with Gibbs, are the most "rural" schools in Knoxville. They are a small fish in a big pond in Knox Co. Knox Co doesn't do a lot to help sports teams, so most are dependent on booster programs. Not a lot of money in the Carter community. Talking with some old Carter people, they seem to think that athletics takes a back seat to the band.

The principal is the former band teacher at Carter.

True the Principal is a former band director.  The band program has had quite a bit of struggles lately and this past season seemed to take a back burner to football, although that hasn't always been the case.

I just spoke to a football parent, their son told them Meadows had a meeting with the players today and told them that he is NOT going to Pigeon Forge and is staying at Carter.

So possibly the source at Sevier County Schools jumped the gun and assumed he would accept if offered?

Shad had his bags packed. I feel sorry for him now.

That whole ordeal down there at WB reminds me of a good friend of mine that was so in love with this ole gal while she cheated with everyone coming and going and no matter what we told him he wouldn't believe us. Well until she finally left for someone else that was dumber than he was. They hold on to him after being told by everyone under the sun he's applying for every opening coming and going. Sooner or later the odds are he'll find someone even dumber especially with some of the dumb hires I've seen the past two or three years. But you know when it does happen they can't say they weren't warned.

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
