People in other fields change jobs all the time without a negative connotation attached, so I don't see why football coaches are burned at the stake for doing what is best for their families. There is doing what's best for your family and then there's Meadows. What's this job #8 in the last 20 years? It's amazing he still finds teams willing to hire him. You hire Meadows, you better have a updated short list of coaches to hire at all times

1OldPatriot
Maybe they could get Heath Woods to come back. He is at Northview right now. Be a substantial paycut for a similar job though.

Red81KPsmash
Josh would land a great recruiting class, as long as he could find enough apartments in Carter
HaLa
5 coaches in 5 years, that doesn’t count other sports. Maybe someone needs to take a look at the principal. There’s more issues at Carter than just football coaches. 1

CHSAlum04
When will interviews begin? Surely they want a coach in place before the Spring term begins. Must find someone to bring continuity. 5 years and 5 coaches. Unbelievable lack of leadership.

They do not speak highly of her attitude toward athletics. Too often principals lose sight of what gets the publicity. You can have great academic success and few people will know. You win a state football or basketball title, a lot more people will recognize your school.
JohnnyUtah
He's been doing this for close to 20 years. He left Tennessee before he got there. Saturday, January 5, 2002 SCOTT MEADOWS LEAVES ALCOA FOR UT WBIR-TV News, Knoxville Reported by WBIRLast year Alcoa High School football head coach Scott Meadows almost left the Tornadoes after winning a state title, but he decided to stick around. This year that's not the case. Saying it was an opportunity that he just couldn't pass up Meadows is heading to the University of Tennessee. He will be an Offensive Graduate Assistant and Kicking Coach for Phillip Fulmer. Meadows spent two very productive years at Alcoa leading them to the state title in 2000 and to the state semi's in 2001. Meadows lost just two games in two years at Alcoa.
