I had the pleasure of watching him making our team look like they had sandbags tied to their feet many times.

Same here... beat us like a rented mule. Made fans of our entire town though in the way he conducted himself on the field and after the game. He made it a point to speak to most of our starters, and patted lots of helmets complementing our effort. Nothing but class.

My eye test told me he’s one of the best wide receivers, regardless of classification, to come through this state in recent memory. UT fans should be thankful you don’t pick and choose the players they recruit.

If he was as good as you say he would already have offers

Not from ut

He has a pwo from UT as of now. He finished 8th in the Opening ( the national region) with numbers better than a lot of big recruits that are playing now in college. He ran a 4.63 40 as a 17 year old. His vertical was a 34. His shuttle was a 4.1. His power ball throw was 41.

Just curious, is he adverse to playing tight end? There’s a kid from nearby Camden that played  QB and wr in high school bulked up in college and is making bank playing TE for the Tampa Bay Bucs.

No. Most of the ones that are recruiting him is wanting him at receiver or H-back

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
