My old friend the late, great Herschel Moore would be happy.......he loved clinics and talking about this "O". I have scheduled a requested "Hybrid Wing" Clinic .

I know that many in TN have gone to the spread type offenses, but their are some still in some form of the Wing T..............this may be for you..

The "Hybrid Wing" Clinic will be Sat March 28th from 9AM to 4 /5 PM. I will cover the whole gamut (jets, rockets, belly(sweep), formations + all the nuts & bolts)

Details are here on my website jetsweep.com since 2003 ( you will need to register to post on forum.........free registration)

Clinic Info

The clinic fee will be $25 per coach........all proceeds will go to Immanuel Bapt Back Pack food program

thanks

It's a great offense if you are OK finishing 2nd in the state game.

JK OP. ;-)

There have been plenty of teams that ran the wing t that have won state championships in  Tennessee throughout the history of the playoffs. Also before the official playoff/state championship format was adopted l bet there were some championship level teams that ran the wing t. I bet there are some teams throughout the U.S. that have run the wing t and won state championships. I would even guess that there are some spread, veer, I formation, single wing, one back, wishbone, or any other offensive system teams that have finished 2nd through last in the state.

Just like when Maryville finished behind Oakland's "Hybrid Wing-T" two years in a row

With the sheer talent that Oakland currently has and has had for several years, Oakland should always finish ahead of Maryville. The fact that they run that offense gives Maryville a chance.

    • I used to think like that many many moons ago.  I wondered the same questions but learned that it is just not that easy.  Hiring assistant coaches can be complicated at times.  It takes a few years for HC’s to get who they feel is right for their system.  Couple that with good assistant coaches getting better jobs at times and leaving your program. More to it than some think.  I think you have a good coach up there and time will tell that story.
    • okay.  Like i said initially, it's question we have to ask, but we sure don't know the answer yet.
    • You’re right, I shouldn’t jump the gun on it. Hopefully it isn’t related to the sports programs, because it’ll end up affecting a lot of innocent kids who just enjoy playing sports.
    • I totally agree but just don’t want to see people jumping the gun by insinuating it was for athletic reasons. Nobody knows at the moment except for those involved in the incident itself and those investigating.
    • Bruh, That portion of the post was simply a product of my imagination. Try to keep up.  The real purpose of the post was to rub salt in this fresh wound following FF’s departure to BGA.
