How does our State Champions stack up?

Recommended Posts

Well the official season is now over. On to all star games signing day spring practice etc. I can't help but still find joy out of getting my money's worth of my NFHS subscription. Steadily watching other States Class 1A title games Mississippi Alabama Kentucky Illinois Texas Gonna try to watch Missouris tonight I know Georgia starts theirs Friday. I will also watch 2As (already watched a few) Alabama and Kentucky. I was just wondering if anyone is doing the same and how do you think our Champs match up to theirs? I think Lake County would do well against the 1A competition I've seen.

Mayfield would be a tall task for anyone in 2A. Great passing attack

The Big 1a game in North Carolina will be a good maybe. It’s a rematch. East Surry and Tarboro. East Surry has several kids with power 5 offers a few committed to UNC. Tarboro( Todd Gurley ) is a different animal though. Small 1a Robbinsville is really good going for their 14th state championship Saturday.

Very interesting topic I think. Wish they could have like a national championship for each class. I think it would be pretty cool. I have always heard your best high school football athletes come from Florida, Texas, and Cali.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
