The same goes with Kingsport D-B and Clinton.

FIGHT to the DEATH!

In the Cardinal and Gray corner, fighting out of Oak Ridge, is former Mighty Wildcat and expert in the sweet science of boxing Sweet Science!  <<crowd goes  WILD>>

Fighting out of the Orange and Black corner is the man driving the Clinton Dragon Wagon, the Mouth Without a Brain...Opie Shaggnasty  <<BOOS rain down from the crowd>>

Now entering the Oak Ridge Jack Armstrong Stadium / Blankenship Field from the Maroon and Gray corner is the Injun with the non-stop engine, he is a little whacko but better known as WaCoJaCo <<half of the crowd groans and the other half groans louder>>

Of course, l think it would be a one, two, three Sweet Science double knockout.

Anybody from Maryville want to take on Sweet Science???

Something I would find intriguing is in Virginia there is this little dominating 1a school named Riverheads. This team could prob win state in 2a virginia since they gave the team in the 2a state finals their only loss and went undefeated in a 2a conference. This team vs Greenback, South Pittaburg or the 2a champs Peobody . I'd also like to see how 6a Tennessee stacked up against 6a Virginia. Maryville vs Oscar Smith on ESPN neutral site. I follow Virginia and Tennessee closely and I find these to be wishful thinking matchups.

central has not scrimmaged alcoa in the past 2 years.

I thought we scrimmaged them last year (2018). Maybe that was a JV game. or it could have been 2017, the preseason stuff runs together for me. If I'm wrong, my bad. Would still love to see them schedule Alcoa for some reason local 5A and 6A schools turn us down for games( except Maryville). Would make travel a lot easier

Can't possibly imagine why they would do such a thing

Marville plays Alcoa every year. Come on down, it's a fun game with a packed house.

Maryville played Catholic the past two seasons. It was a fun game with a packed house. A little man was hiding in the end zone during the last one. It was odd.

it was fun to watch his kid and 2 UT signees get beat!

    • Why would the tax payers be responsible for paying for only a coach? In recent years with all the theft from various programs in schools from different programs with booster clubs (not just sports) the State of TN has made alot of rules surrounding booster clubs and how they handle money.  I have two documents to review, 1 is 40 pages from the state comptroller and the other is 37 pages from my district, so I can consider starting a booster club for my middle school program. It has been too much trouble in the past for the other coaches.  There is no way there needs to be an adult in the school building for 7 hours a day with no responsibilities except coaching.
    • The only thing that was said at half time of the 45-0 game was Coach Story, he said: "I know y'all have been out there a lot, but kick-off team, y'all need to get down there faster!" Then he and the other coaches proceeded to go into the coaches office and we all went nuts!  It was the only time I can ever remember coaches not saying anything at half time. Definitely a great memory!!!
