I’m hearing a coach on staff, an out of state coach, and some local coordinators in the Chattanooga area are the top candidates for the job.

So are you indicating that Ol' Sammy boy is in the mix?  I don't know if he would want to deal with a complete rebuild.  Had their two best players not transferred to South Pitt, this job would had been a lot more attractive, because those two are special.  With that being said, Hamilton County probably pays more than those county schools over in the valley so that would be one benefit I guess.  Hixson needs to be more disciplined and from what I know of him, he would certainly change the culture in respect to discipline.  Be curious to see if he is in the mix.  If he is a candidate, he may also be interested in the Marion job since hes from over that way and would be a lot less rebuild for sure. 

Some other names I could see possibly showing interest would be Carter Cardwell(Former Boyd Head Coach) he may be ready to try his hand at being a Head Coach again, Kraig Campbell(Former Ezell Harding Head Coach) maybe in the same boat and would like another shot now that he is back in the area.  Another name that we haven't heard much about in recent years would be Bill Price, no idea if he would have any desire to get back into coaching but boy could he bring some energy and excitement back to the Hixson community.  Probably every Coordinator looking for their shot at being a head coach has probably applied.  Whose some other names as possibilities?

Campbell's son is a rising senior at Boyd Buchanan so he has not shown any interest.  He is enjoying being the oc at BBS and coaching his son. Cardwell could be ready to jump back into the scene.

There is a coordinator from Cleveland that interviewed yesterday and a person on staff that interviewed today. Something that could also play into this is that the principal just announced his retirement so there are going to be some admin changes as well.

Yea, that is certainly interesting.  Could slow the actual hire way down if they want the new Principal to have some say in this, I just dont see how they could wait very long though.   Surely, the current Principal and Mr. Bray will finalize something soon for those kids sake. I had heard that Hixson was interviewing through the weekend so hopefully by next week a decision will be made. Kinda makes you wonder whats going on up at Cleveland because they have already had their OC leave recently for another job.  So they would have to replace both coordinators.  Wonder if thats any indication on the new coach at Cleveland if everybody's wanting out.

Doubt it. The OC has been doing this for a long time, and I would say he wanted to take a shot at being a head coach. I heard the DC is a younger guy who is pretty ambitious, so I'd say he wants a shot too. 

Might be wrong, but I've got a lot of family/friends in Cleveland, and I have heard nothing but good things about Coach Wheeler.

So you appear to be somewhat in the know, who all got an interview that you may be aware of and have all the interviewed rapped up?  I had heard that interviews were through last weekend. Any updates?
