Or the opposite, UGA may just say 'bring it' and drag the lawsuit out and in the meantime, no go on his eligibility. The finger issue happened what 2.5-3 years ago?; just being viewed as a ploy. I doubt UGA will grant a waiver. It would be one thing if he was headed to an ACC school.

UGA won't have any say in the matter. It's going to be a court thing. It's an NCAA issue, not a UGA issue.

I think Georgia will have some "unofficial" say in the matter, depending on how cooperative/supportive they are of Mayes and his right to transfer.

They have hired the most prominent attorney in these matters against the NCAA and he will be eligible. It is the same attorney that got Justin Fields eligible at Ohio State this season.

The transfer has already been signed off on by UGA. They are out of it now. It's an NCAA/court thing at this point.
