SGC has been able to do enough to win close games to this point. Not sure if you were at the game or not Friday night but WV had them on the ropes. ANOTHER close, overtime, last play game that SGC some how figured out how to win. 

Coach Wilkins has done a really good job of getting his kids ready to compete. This District is always tough.

I have seen every team in that district and I am still not sure that i pick SGC to win it. All the teams are kinda along the same lines to me. 

SGC - guard play is not what it was last year, solid bigs.

Crockett - good guards, small inside

Dyersburg - well coached and plays very hard

WV - pretty well rounded team. Very tough 

Milan - seems to be a bunch of young talent that could play well any given night

Obion - still trying to learn the Ralph Turner way

Agreed! I once thought dyersburg could be the toughest challenge, but I was proven wrong! We isn’t taking anyone lightly! Last year we slipped up to a team that most people knew we was 10-15 better on a bad night. No mercy this year! I hope & pray we get South Gibson again!

Its very possible that you could. We all know SS will be there, the question is who else will? I dont think anyone in 14 is better than 2-4 in 13. They may be equal, but not better

South Gibson beat North Side by 3 last night (1/27). South Side beat North Side by a ton. I understand that isnt how it works and match ups make a difference but I just don't see anybody in Region 7 AA touching South Side.

I just talked with one of North Side‘s coaches let’s just say it was a lot of fouls to North Side’s very little fouls. I heard SG had a total of 11 fouls called on them the whole game. Meanwhile NS started the 2nd half in the double bonus. I wasn’t there myself! So I am going off one of the coaches said

I watched North Side twice and they were very aggressive and at times out of control. I'm not sure if they play like that ll time or not but if so then I can see a situation where the fouls could be out of whack.

North Side just got all their players back that’s eligible to play! They played I guess 5-7 games fully staffed.

South Gibson has a terrible tendency to play down to whoever they play. They are truly just built as a postseason team. Close games down to the wire almost every single game.

Oh really? What about a Madison team? NS isn’t that bad. What do you mean a postseason team when they only went to 1 Substate game in school history?
