Glass House picks for DII-A

If TCA handles pressure and closes out close games they will win it all, IMO. Last year TO’s and closing games got them knocked out. They were tied with Greenfield with a couple of minutes left last year in the Region. USJ is always a rival type game that will be tough. Northpoint will be tough and Tipton Rose will too. I just think if they keep their cool they will come out on top.

Big week for TCA.  USJ on Tuesday and Tipton-Rosemark on Friday.  Both away games.  We will see what we are made of this week!  Two tough games in two tough environments!

Big win for TCA. Didn’t see that one coming. I predicted a pretty close win. Man I was wrong. 29 points.

It was never close.  I think it was 14-0 at beginning of game.  TCA had a balanced attack with their two best players, Lee and Howell, leading the way with 19 and 18.  TCA post players dominated inside.  USJ won’t lay down.  It will be a dog fight the next time we play again.  USJ is good enough to beat TCA if they don’t come out focused.

I don’t know what has happend to USJ. They beat a good Covington team by double digits during Thanksgiving and they seem to be going the wrong direction. They are good enough your right but if TCA plays like they are capable they may work every one over. Congrats on a good win!!

So sad that I could not attend this game.  But wow, TCA was white hot in that first quarter. They never let a capacity crowd into the game. No question about it, they will come with all guns blazing in the return visit. We have to be prepared and that defense needs to get tighter. It was a statement win tonight. I for one am pleased. However, another nasty road game awaits the Lady Lions on Friday at TRA. The Lady Rebels did not like us punching them in the mouth. We must be prepared.

I was wondering this myself. They beat a good Huntingdon team by double digits too before Christmas. They have been too up and down this year. I don't know if this is related or not but I have been seeing videos on twitter of some extremely dirty play during their game with tipton rosemark and someone else as well. Them girls may have a major attitude  problem.. who knows?

I seen the videos as well. We played them and they didn’t play like that. Must be some bad blood with TRA. Interesting that they have not played well. Still lot of basketball. We will see how this works out.

Last nights game was a clean, physical ballgame. TCA is just the better team.   I think TCA had something to do with them “playing bad”.  We didn’t play well against Greenfield but it would be naive not to think that Greenfield had something to do with it.  At this moment Greenfield and TCA are the two best girls teams in West Tn.  Greenfield is a notch above.  I want to make sure I make that clear before someone takes it the wrong way. I do think TCA would play Greenfield within 10 if we played again.  Playing Greenfield within 10 is a pretty big accomplishment!   TCA’s scoring last night was 19,18,9,8,7,6,5.  So, who are you going to guard?  Very balanced.

Things are starting to clear up in the West.  Looks like it’s Harding and Northpointe in the other district.  TCA pretty much has locked up 1st place in their district with TRA and USJ battling for 2nd.  Those three will come out of that district.  I’m guessing it will be Goodpasture, Clarksville Academy and CPA battling for Middle Tn.  I’m not sure what’s happening out East.  I heard King’s Academy could be a sleeper.

Thought CPA was in the upper division. Just now caught that.

    • Ouch! If he's in the scrap business maybe
    • That's a nice story but has little to nothing to do with what we're talking about.
    • The winds of change are blowing in Hartsville.     Will be an interesting follow.    Would go back to the 90s and turn black the clock!
    • Did he promise you a coordinator job or something if he ever got a head coaching job? He resigned? He was at the top of the dugout last night calling plays. I wonder if those 30+ parents would let him give their kids a ride. by the way the board meeting was last night and it was not mentioned. must have been at the work session earlier this week which is not public. must be trying to keep it quiet.  Since you know so much, how much is Robbie Atwood willing to pay Adam Cothron?  Didn't you slander Eden earlier on here? You also didn't know he was a faculty coach again so how much do you really know? Some people outside this county baffle me with their need to slander others.
    • He resigned smh, and have you ever heard of charged but not convicted. Some people in this county baffle me with their need to slander others. Have you asked any of the 30+ parents that signed a petition to get him reinstated at the board meeting this week how they feel about this? Just let it play out, at the end of the day the only people that will bring TC back are the ones that know what its about at its core.    People hate losing and they aren't used to it at TC. I for 1, and I'm sure others too, understand having a dip in talent and not being able to compete for a state title every year. But in the past, TC teams have outworked more talented teams, they didn't continuously lose the turnover battle, they didn't commit 8+ penalties in several games each season, and I believe several of the folks in town that want Blake out feel as if he is neglecting the history of the program. This is from a source that used to be extremely close to the program (not me lol), Blake gets out of school midday and the players show up and there is no practice plan or itinerary.  I also understand those that are on team Blake, when he has loads of talent, he wins. He does know football and he is a tremendous DC, and if the rumors are true then he will do great things. As for the board member issue, it is what it is, everyone that's true to the county know that and nothing has changed. I agree though that they should strive to make the facilities as good as we can. And as far as potential candidates, I agree there is very few options. West, Vetetoe (yes I know), and couple others that could have some interest. Whatever happens is massive for the program during a pivotal time before the next big wave of stars make their way through.
