I don’t think Lakeway is eligible for post season yet.  I may be wrong on that assumption.  If they are eligible then they would easily be the favorite coming out of East.

Lakeway is not eligible for post season.  They will be able to next year. Kings Academy and Lakeway splint in the season

I just want to commend TCA’s coach tonight. They beat FAC’s 46-7 they obviously were the better team and could have beat them 100. But he respectfully did not. I’ve been noticing some scores this year from other dominant teams who leave their main players in too long and run the score up just to get stats up. That’s classless in my opinion and strictly on the coach. I’m pulling for TCA to win it all. Great job coach

Thanks for the kind words toward TCA.  After two minutes of play the score was 24-0.  TCA quit fast breaking and stopped all trapping.  The coach told them to run their plays over and over until they had a wide open shot.  It was an opportunity for the team to work on running plays all the way through instead of taking first open shot.  You can keep from beating a team 100-2 if you want to.  Hey, you never know, FACS may be in a position to beat TCA by 80 In a few years.  If so, that coach will remember how he was treated!

64-42 TCA final.

Yeah TCA was trailing  at half and came out in a 2-3 zone and shut the door. Changed momentum in a big way. USJ’s big girl was having a field day in the first half and it opened up the outside and USJ was playing well. But the zone changed momentum. Lots of players played for TCA as they subbed continuous. And was fresh. Only thing about TCA subbing so much is that it has got to be hard to get in a rhythm. But they won’t get tired obviously. Really good team and I hope they win it all. Really pulling for these girls because I have seen the seeds these girls have planted in the off-season and hard work they have put in.

Howell was injured pretty badly in first Q so she was out most of first half.  That was one of the subbing issues.  Second, Pagoaga was in foul trouble first half and didn’t play much first half, that was second subbing issue.  That left 7 players to rotate and keep fresh.  TCA ran USJ to death.  USJ was seriously gassed due to lack of depth. TCA’s three freshmen would start for most teams.  Lee of course is already a starter but my point is that they are deep. USJ is still a really good, dangerous team.  Wagner is a handful in the post but fortunately TCA has three really good post players that can match her.  Most teams can’t match her.  She will be dominate next year.  TCA is on a mission.  If they stay healthy and stay out of foul trouble they have a shot at doing something special.

Listening to the coach getting interviewed, I want to say TCA had a double bye and plays the 25th or so I could be wrong. But sounded like they had about 10 days off. He said USJ would possibly play Northpoint second round if I am not mistaken. Wonder who TCA will get?

    • I think the OC is a guy the he brought from Fulton with him. I am not sure though. I have heard a lot of conflicting information. It seems like a couple of coaches that he hired have since been let go.

    • If someone needed their grades pumped up surley it would have to be for someone needing it to get to another level. If your intending on going to work right after high school it wouldn't matter. Why would someone in their right mind think if they screwed it up in high school that their ready for college. It has to be for an athlete to get them over the fence to get in and from that point the school their going to will cheat them through the rest of the way for their athletic skills just like the rest.
    • The new school will be on that road behind Home Depot next to a church. I'm wondering if this could take from Greenback or could it be the end of Greenback, they only have 200 students.
    • Yeah it will take the county kids in that area that were going to lenior city. They will move down to 4a I think
