Their approval by the TSSAA allows them to play varsity football in 2020 and not be in a region due to the fact that this is the second year of contracts.

According to the Wilson post, Green Hill and Mt. juliet will be 7-12 grades for the 2020-2021 school year.  Mt. juliet Middle and Green Hill will be together and Mt. Juliet High and West Wilson Middle will be together.

Eighth Grade Participation

Section 8. An eighth grade student is eligible to participate for a member school if he/she is enrolled at the school. Students below the eighth grade are not eligible to practice or participate for a member school. Any student repeating the eighth grade shall not be eligible for high school participation during the year that the student is repeating the eighth grade. Participation as an eighth grader shall not reduce the number of semesters a student is allowed to participate after enrolling in the ninth grade.

legally yes, reality no.  They will have 7th & 8th grade teams (with JV 7th and 8th grade teams), freshman teams, JV teams , and varsity teams.

I believe legally no.  The reason is that the schools are co-located but have separate principals unlike a 7-12th grade school under one administration.  The MS students are not enrolled at either high school just in the same building.
