Source told me Griffith man never actually said that, just what the reporter put in her paper. Coley will be next HC. Like I stated before no matter who is getting that job next year will be tough. Talent coming up to be ok in 1A. No matter how down you are no Whitwell should never be losing to Copper Basin and Sale Creek. Coley will do fine at Whitwell. Expect him to bring some stability to the program. The kids and community are happy with the hire.

I understand what you're saying.  But I don't know why one person would quote another in an article and it not be what the person said.  The only point I was trying to make above is one doesn't have to be a certified teacher to be a head coach.

JC has been at Whitwell before.  Did he teach then?

CNN does it all the time. It's called fake news

I don't know why as well but what I was told Griffith supports the hiring if they go that direction. Coley didn't teach at Whitwell when he was there. From what I understand he runs a logistics company.

I read/watch a broad variety of the news.  To think that one side, whether it's left or right is reporting 100% accurately, one has to be drinking the koolaid.

I believe our hopes, answers and most of all the Truth, do not lie either left or right but straight above.

If Griffith does support the hire then it should get done.  I haven't heard anything other than it being Coley.   Good luck to Whitwell.  Regardless of which direction they go, having now 10 coaches in 16 years shows the route they have traveled.

Laugh if you want, but Sale Creek is a sleeping giant in 1A. Just takes a few who didn't get the playing time at Rhea or Soddy, or moved into the north part of the county, to take the next step.

I have been surprised that Sale Creek hasn't come along faster given the Athletes they used to have in their Basketball program during their power house days. Wait until they get to actually have home games at home.  Frankly, I think the pound Whitwell this year.

I watch that news on Sundays and Wednesdays mostly and 1 hour each morning on the way to work. It hasn't lied to me yet.

Whitwell just posted the job to the TSSAA board 18 hours ago.  What are your thoughts about why they would do this if they already have a person in mind

Whitwell High School is now taking applications for Head Football Coach. Teaching position is To Be Determined. If interested, please send your resume to Teena Casseday: tcasseday@mctns.net.

    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
