I think it would be hard to justify hiring Shadowens or OConnor after firing Palmer for character or moral reasons.  Those 2 have a bad rep as far as morality goes.

Then it gets down to Puckett or White. I'd go with White simply because I don't know Puckett. Haha who is he and where has he coached. I know the name but cant place him.

Gonna stay out of that speculation and let the decision-makers figure out the best guy for the program. Not sure about that list either. Things are fairly hush, hush.

Guessing a pay raise, facilities, etc., would be an upgrade from Lake County.

Josh Puckett is from Greenfield and has coached at a few stops but since taking over the football program at Lake County they've been a contender every year and this past year they won the Class 1A State Championship.  He's also coached at Cheatham County, East Robertson, and Haywood previously.

 

Lance White has been the Defensive Coordinator at Independence since 2013.  Prior to that he coached at Lebanon, LaVergne, and Wilson Central.  He also served as an assistant coach at Daniel Boone in East TN.

Awesome dude!  Got a son who's a really good player that is an incoming junior.   Shelbyville could do much worse.   He's a winner for sure!
