Yeah, you make a good point. I guess I was considering the out-of-county issue. My feeble mind can't keep up with everything.. They should have passed the one-time transfer rule. And also Loudon County should have passed. The tuition deal for all of Loudon County Schools. Never was a problem for them until last year when Alcoa put Loudon out. Then a lot of Loudon County folks on the other side of the lake started complaining. About not having enough Firepower to take on the tornadoes, LOL.

They thought they was loaded when they got off the bus.
when they got back on the bus they realized they need to keep their mouths closed

They get like 5 kids from there

Oh and 3A is so weak

Right until you get to the final two, the rest is like taking candy from a baby. That's why you don't see many people at a Alcoa Football game when they play these type cream puffs. Imagine turning on the radio and the same song plays over and over and over. Eventually you'll turn it off, that's what a lot of people have done regarding Alcoa Football on Friday Night. I was at a family's house two years ago doing work in Alcoa and the husband came in and ask his wife who Alcoa played that night and she told him and the very first thing he said was he didn't want to waste money watching something like that so they planned something else.

Who does Maryville play in the first 3rds of the playoffs that they don’t run the clock on??

The two years before last nobody. The T$$AA has let to many teams in the playoffs that is a waste of time but that won't change.

It’s more than just 2 years. You can bank on every year Maryville will play nobody that can challenge them until a semi final match up with a RUCO team. I agree with you on tssaa letting too many teams in. I just don’t think the answer is penalize Alcoa by making them play up. If you do Maryville needs to as well.

Cut it down to three rounds. To many teams with 2-8 records going to playoffs is crazy especially with 50 team classes. That's what's wrong with the world today, everyone wants it the easy way.

    • The only thing that was said at half time of the 45-0 game was Coach Story, he said: "I know y'all have been out there a lot, but kick-off team, y'all need to get down there faster!" Then he and the other coaches proceeded to go into the coaches office and we all went nuts!  It was the only time I can ever remember coaches not saying anything at half time. Definitely a great memory!!!
    • Boyd could actually be a grade below what he is now, but his parents didn't see the need to "redshirt" him like the other city school down the road would have pushed for....

    • Who invited the First Family of Hartsville?
    • When Danny was a senior he was the quarterback on the 82 team and also the placeholder on extra points. At the end of the game Heritage scored a touchdown with very little time left and went ahead 9-0. On the following extra point Danny rose up and threw a perfect pass to one of his receivers which made it 11-0 and Heritage's first win against Maryville since the series started in 77. Maryville fans were highly ticked off because they felt like it was rubbing salt in the wound. The following year when both teams met again at Maryville  the Rebels ran away with the game and after the first couple of touchdowns they went for two points after each score for a pay back and the score was 45-0 at halftime. The following Monday Bob Gilbert the sports eiditor for the local paper bashed Maryville in an article called the Humilation of Teenagers and tore into Maryville even though he was a graduate of the school. Those were the good ole days when Heritage had decent teams and the rivalry between them and Maryville was a fun event to see.
