His middle school teams generally competed well vs midstate and Bradley County teams in tournaments and camps. Had holiday tournament wins vs Homestead (Cumberland), Rickman (DeKalb), Avery Trace and Prescott (Cookeville) last year.  Yes it is a big jump to high school. Losing players from 8th to 9th or a year or two later has been an issue in recent years but having incoming players and parents familiar with what he’s done should help cut that down or out.

Won 2 state championships (years ago) at Wilson Central I believe and also coached 1 or 2 years at Smyrna HS most recently. Son of Hall of Fame coach Campbell Brandon.
