What about the seniors. They have to let thrm play the spring sports. Especially the onrs thst dont have sxholarships. The fair thing to do eould be let thrm play the sport only after graduating and don't make them have to attend. Does not apply to basketball or any other sport...just baseball softball track etc. As far ad the basketball tournament they plan to do it in may or June to let the seniors end thrir careers right.

We need to understand that sports is not that important when we are talking about the destruction of our country. Many won't be able to afford to go after the loss of jobs. A gold ball isn't everything!

more to life than sports and this is a great reminder about what really matters. It sucks for everyone right now, it sucks for the players family who may lose their job. It sucks for the kid who does not play sports who may never step foot back into school as a SR. Athlete make up only a small percentage of graduating classes. We come here because we love our school sports and the kids, but the big picture right now is not making sure the Class of 2020 has their moment. I'd love to see our local kids back out there soon and bring more gold hardware home, but I'd like more to see our country move forward first.

I hate to beat a dead horse but the TSSAA needs the money and that is the only reason they are even considering hosting the state basketball tournaments and spring fling at a later date.  For once in their life the folks over on Lebanon Road in Hermitage, TN need to become leaders.  At the present time this country has much more to worry about than athletics and state championships.

    • I lived through the Hammontree era with my sons. His 10 year tenure at Heritage was way too long. That is the most hard headed, egotistical man I have ever met. He ridiculed players and degraded repeatedly. He ran off some good young coaches that loved Heritage but couldn’t work for him. I do know what I’m talking about and it’s not hearsay, I lived it.
    • HVA is a dump and will never be good at football. It's a baseball school. Look at the types of homes being built and families moving in. Not football families. People will move in and look at the school and choose to play for another program. This issue has been snow balling for a decade now
    • Also no shot at an indoor facility it took ya'll almost a decade just to turf blankenship
    • You will not be able to replace Dozier he was a stud and wasted for years. Heyward started strong and then fell of but he will be missed still Rembert could fly and was also underused. Not being replaced. Track has started to close the gap with football. It does not help that the current AD is just stealing money(collecting his check) while the assistant AD is a XC/Track guy who always hated football. Current AD is too worried about not hurting anyone's feelings to do anything at all. Heck he is gotta be 70 plus and looks like a fool wearing kid shoes
