Watch out for West Tennessee

West Tennessee wrestling is quickly becoming a force to be reccond with. A young, strong team from CBHS will break their way into the top ten ap poll again and will not lose to a division 1 school from anywhere other than Bradley central. Bolton is on the rise, their coach has got a young team with plenty talent. Collierville returns all their starters for the exception of two. Houston returns their whole team as well who worked out hard over the past season. Germantown and Ridgeway have also worked hard and will have several state qualifiers. Westside, though it has several holes, has several good wrestlers that will place at state, including senior Leavy Davis, a two time fourth place winner, who could bring a state title home to west Tennessee. My prediction is that Christian Brothers will bring a state title to west tennessee in the next few years. And yes, that is calling out the boys of mba and Ryan, who I personally despise.

It is my understanding that CBHS will be at "the battle of the woods" next Friday night & Kenwood Klassic next Saturday. I look forward to seeing how they fare this year. They got a lot of attention last year, lots of folks were asking who are those guys... Collierville got a good coach back to western TN this year, rumor has it that he is bringing the team to middle TN over the Christmas holidays for a tournament. We look forward to the competition and getting to see some wonderful coaches in our midst!

Hey Gatling - sounds like a case of jealousy. I can understand that you are feeling like the Cinderella wannabe, but so far as private schools go, I don't think at this time that CBHS can hold a candle to Ryan, Baylor or McCallie. But hey, as the saying goes on some of the t-shirts I've seen "if you believe, you can achieve". Maybe that is true. We will see. We will also see you next weekend at Kenwood. Bring it on!

hey, just wrestle, I do believe that if we beat Ryan, MBA, Baylor, or the steroid jockeys, it wouldn't be cinderella, just the benefits of hard work. We got second at Kenwood last year to Ryan and if our heavyweight last year didn't punch a door and broke his hand, we would've beat Ryan in a dual. We were there last year, don't be suprised to see us there again and succeed. Just wrestle

Somebody, please slap some sense into this gatling kid! Are you on the Marable payroll? For two pretty good kids like the Marables they don't need a personal cheerleader on here for them. I am just trying to understand thegatlings frustration. I guess when you have never beaten the likes of Ryan, Baylor or McCallie you would be a frustrated person. Especially when you talk the smack every year and come up short every time. I guess I would be a frustrated person too. So Gatling, where do you think CBHS will finish this year in DII?

Hmmmm....well if saying that a wrestler will dominate the state was being his personal cheerleader, then this whole message board would be a east Tennessee cheerleader program. All I see is Bradley this and Soddy that. Last year it was Keller this and Keller that. And I get called out for complementing two of my friends? That's fine, and there's no frustration there. Hey Clarksville, Bradley, Soddy, why don't yall wrestle McCallie and Baylor this year for state. What's that? Oh that's right, cause you'd end up right beside us. We're getting better, yall should thank me. Cause when we win state in the next couple of years, you won't be as shocked, cause I told you so.

    • Things don’t change that dramatically all at once lol. Fulton is the result of a few decades, at least. But yeah, my main point is the obviousness of all the kids he’s brought in there.
    • Ever heard of fulton high school? Things change Im not saying your wrong or right. I just think that AC is worried Clinton might catch them if whatever they are doing continues. I know he is bringing kids in
    • Both places Woods has been at have gotten better pretty quickly after his arrival. If you can win consistently in Metro while having to fend off the vultures from picking your roster clean, your doing something right
    • They typically have a handful of black kids (nothing at all wrong with that, it’s great), but these past few years both sides of the ball have been primarily black kids. Again, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, in general, all I’m saying is that the past few seasons or so, the teams demographics just doesn’t match what it has been, historically speaking. And that didn’t start, until Keith got there. That’s all I’m saying. Rather odd how that just starts magically happening ever since he got there.
    • I have always known Clinton and the football team to be diverse. Not saying its like Knox but I would say more so than you're leading onto. Maybe more kids are wanting to play for a minority coach like that OL that commityed to Colorado over UT due to Deion "looking like him"- Jordan Seaton
