So I learned this afternoon that the Tygard man, and the evil NJ supporters orchestrated the whole thing. They used the social media mind control system installed at Lodge to control the driver who hit the overpass. Since the boys now have to cross the road to get to the field this presents a dangerous safety issue, and the Tygard man is broadcasting to the SP kids it is safer to get from the school to the fieldhouse at NJ. Sounds like SP parents are really buying in - caring about the safety of their children and all.

Booger nose rite first hand that the preformentioned Tygard feller is a master tacticaltician...and gonna b bringin that NJ back to its powerhouse days.....u skilletheads better be for gettin that Trump feller thats riddin the stink of the swamp and makin America great again..... to build sum of his fine fence over there from the river bank over to Recton hollar...or there gonna be sum pirates crossin the border

Booger just sayin

They never really lived up to their billing relative to Stevenson and Bridgeport.  They seem to be the doormat in their current region.

70s and 80s were pretty good years for both teams. Stevenson made it to the finals 3 times but never could close the deal. Bridgeport made a run in the early 80s, but could not put together a complete season.

Bridgeport vs. SP overall was: 13-20-1

Stevenson vs SP overall was: 32-26-3

Stevenson won at least 2.  They beat Handley in 1977 and Wedowee (Randolf, County) in 1979.

I couldn't remember them winning those (prolly cause I don't want too). I do remember the Championship game against Dadeville, the defenses were out of their minds - seems like the whole game was played between the 40s. That was the year they beat B'port when they had the Robinson kid.

That 1980 team may have been one of their best but they got busted for playing several 20 y.o.  Apparently the state association frowned upon that a little bit and made them forfeit some games.  Ironically they came in 2nd in 1981.
