The Dead Period

Is TSSAA going to just call this the dead period..I know Camden hasnt worked out in a couple of weeks and wont until this mess is passed... I would hope we all have.

Wonder how they will look at this situation. Some teams have went through spring practice, others probably will not be able to practice until Aug.

No no. Old crew would squeeze in an early week. The new man in charge will do it by the rules and kick everyone’s butts that are cheating.

Absolutely. And I will say this. Some of the workouts he is putting the team thru are insane. Watching some of them on his twitter page and am very impressed. So much more than lift weights. Total body workouts. He said when he was hired that it is his goal to always be the best conditioned team on the field. It is very obvious now.

The workouts that I was referring to via Twitter were before school was out. Now they are tracking each kid individually outside of school via video, social media and other means. But no group activities.

Those are very good and proven workouts.

TSSAA should keep the dead period where it is at due to safety concerns for the players. This break may be the best thing for student athletes as it is giving their bodies time to heal. Unfortunately coaches today, overwork student-athletes thus leading to more injuries due to overuse.

For the saftey of the kids..I dont have a problem with that . I would hope it doesn't happen
