I think you will be proven wrong. This phase-in plan will work fine and we’ll be back to normal soon enough. The sanitizing and safety issues will be widely accepted by everyone and we will move on with life. We cannot let one specific infectious disease bring down society in just about every way, especially when the models were so very wrong. It’s not near as bad as what the media and some health experts and politicians were spouting out early on. We have to be smart and quit living in fear.

I hope you are right. I will say my source of information is probably more accurate than your's. Let's hope we get back soon and safe.

I just have two questions.

1.  When have any of you seen a 'flu' shot that worked 100%?

2.  Has anybody ever heard of a shot to prevent a common cold?

I ask this as Covid 19 is more like a super cold than the common flu.

fb247, if I am wrong please tell me.

Like you said, no shot for the common cold. I think Covid 19 is much more than a super cold. May be more like a super pneumonia. Just like a lot of infectious viruses everyone is affected differently and some more susceptible. The unknown is the biggest obstacle.

What is their time period for Basketball ?

In 2019 the dates were as follow:

1st date for practice - Oct 21

1st date for a game - Nov 8

Complete region - Feb 8

Remember, they started the exact same date as Tenn. did in 2019 and finished the week after Tenn.

Totally agree. It is time to live. If NY tries to wait until 2022 they will no longer exist.

Some of you are really buying into the fear porn out there. The data is trending in the right direction. Ohio just announced they are having a phased reopening starting May 1. European countries are sending their students back to school. Don't let the mainstream media control you. Antibodies testing in California is revealing the virus is far more wide spread than anyone knew and that the coronavirus death rate is right in line with the traditional flu which is .1% while the Spanish Flu was 2.6%

Big Clay Travis fan?

The current IHME models state that Tennessee will have zero new deaths per day starting May 12th.  At that point, temperatures will be above 80 degrees.  Is it possible that it might return in November?  Sure.  But no way you cancel High School football with zero deaths, probable treatments, and a bunch of possible scenarios.  Also we are finding out that Covid19 is not as deadly as previously thought and that there might be herd immunity by August anyway.  One more thought, if you are on Social Security, Medicare, or Disability, you can always quarantine yourself as you are at a higher risk.  Playing football and attending games are not mandatory.

Models? Seniors? Disabled?  Having a brain is not mandatory either.

    • HVA is a dump and will never be good at football. It's a baseball school. Look at the types of homes being built and families moving in. Not football families. People will move in and look at the school and choose to play for another program. This issue has been snow balling for a decade now
    • Also no shot at an indoor facility it took ya'll almost a decade just to turf blankenship
    • You will not be able to replace Dozier he was a stud and wasted for years. Heyward started strong and then fell of but he will be missed still Rembert could fly and was also underused. Not being replaced. Track has started to close the gap with football. It does not help that the current AD is just stealing money(collecting his check) while the assistant AD is a XC/Track guy who always hated football. Current AD is too worried about not hurting anyone's feelings to do anything at all. Heck he is gotta be 70 plus and looks like a fool wearing kid shoes
    • Will Trez remain 2A after the influx of another 2A school?
    • As I said somewhere earlier in the thread, the original plans had no outdoor athletic facilities being part of the campus.  The original plan was for HVA to use facilities at nearby schools.  Very late in the process they came up with a plan and found budget to have minimal facilities and crammed them in to space that never was intended for athletic facilities.
