Sycamore High School is on the market for a new head football coach.  Who will be the 6th man to lead the War Eagles onto the field this fall?

2004-2010:  Gary Halstead

2011-2014:  Tyler Williams

2015:  Al Pellegrino

They have discussed shortening the season to start playoffs earlier and they have talked about only 2 teams from each region making playoffs.  As money hungry as TSSAA is it wouldn't surprise me to see only Region games being played then playoffs to get done before cold weather hits.

TSSAA will have no say in this if it happens.  what are they going to do force schools to play games? lol

How do they play "Region Games ONLY" when not every region has the same amount of member schools?  A region with 5-6 teams and a region with 8-9 teams is not the same thing obviously.

The TSSAA is looking at all possible options as far as playing football is concerned:

1.)  Playing the season as scheduled.

2.)  Moving the season back to where it would begin in September and run all the way to the weekend before Christmas

3.)  Moving the season back to October and playing a reduced schedule and then taking the Top 2 schools from each region and having a shortened playoff field that would end the season before Christmas or even right after Christmas.

4.)  Playing winter football schedule and starting football season in January and phasing out the winter sports altogether for a year.

Judging from Bernard Childress' remarks, in the eyes of the TSSAA decision makers:

a.)  Playing football, whenever it may be, is imperative because of the income that football brings to the table.

b.)  Playing spring sports next school year is also imperative since they didn't have a season this school year.

There is talk in Ohio of moving the spring sports to the fall next school year and moving the fall sports to the spring. The reasoning behind it is so that the spring sports get the missed season in first and also of fear that football teams will not have enough time to prepare or will have the season interrupted by another round of the virus. I wonder if the TSSAA would look into that?

As for Sycamore, they have had some good coaches but they haven't stayed long. What are the issues that make coaches look elsewhere?

That is a great idea.  It is much easier for spectators to socially distance themselves at the spring sporting events than in a packed gym during the winter or a packed stadium in the fall.

To answer your question, you only get two paid assistants and no financial backing either

So I will ask u the same question you ask.  How do you play a "reduced" schedule?..lol. Some teams have 5-6 teams in a region and some have 8-9
