They used to.  My dad played on the 1949 Volunteer Junior college team.  That JUCO would become UT Martin some years later.

I know this is way off topic, but has anyone heard a rumor that the Memphis City schools might not open up schools for in class assignments next year? I’m sure if they did that they wouldn’t follow through on a football team

I took a couple of pictures of the 1949 football squad from his yearbook this morning but can't figure out how to post them since they are on my computer and not on the internet.

A friend of mine who is a teacher at Houston HS was telling me about it. If no football teams from the Memphis are played then it’ll throw everything out of whack
