Not sure what the rest of RuCo has to do with it, but the truth is under Stevens' watch, no team did less with more than LaVergne. They got an instant upgrade with Woodward

IDK. Hester, a great coach, couldn't win there either. I think they are like many metro schools.

Hester got the bottom of the barrel compared to Stevens. I'm not saying he would have went on a run like Oakland or Blackman has, but I think at the least he would have 8 games every year. Stevens couldn't win more than 6 in his best year

Hester also has an assistant who kept meddling.  He wanted his son to be the QB, the the young man had no arm

Woodward may actually have a chance to be successful as that useless Principal at LaVergne retired today.

The "useless principal" was the one he replaced.  The one who was fired after letting the school go to crap.  Under the new guy, the school has pulled pretty much even with Smyrna High in academic rankings.  Neither one is as good as Stewarts Creek though.

LaVergne under the most recent principal: #200 in the state -  not great but WAY better than under the previous guy...   https://www.schooldigger.com/go/TN/schools/0369001987/school.aspx

Smyrna... now actually ranked lower than LaVergne   https://www.schooldigger.com/go/TN/schools/0369001988/school.aspx

Stewarts Creek... head and shoulders above the other two:   https://www.schooldigger.com/go/TN/schools/0369002318/school.aspx

When Ash was running LaVergne Middle, the place was spotless.  You could eat off the floor.  During that same time, LaVergne High under the "leader" before him was filthy and falling apart.  I can't think of any other time when a principal was so awful that he was actually fired DURING a school year.  There were so many complaints on the condition of the school around that time to the point that the mayor of LaVergne actually joined the school board members in doing an inspection.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
