My sleeper teams are....

Copper Basin lost a pretty good senior class but only having to replace one guy up front, a lot of young guys got playing time this past year. Have a few receivers that could have big time seasons next year, Qb had a big year last year and I look for him to have an even bigger year this year with more of the receivers being developed. Watch out for the Cougars next year. Theirs a few players on the roster that is capable of playing college ball, with a couple of them already having offers.

Gordonsville is another team that is a sleeping giant in my opinion, had a lot of quality young players last season. They’re just a tough and gritty football team.

Call me crazy but I think Sale Creek might make a little noise next year, they have some quality guys coming back next year. The line is solid and the Qb is a pretty good dual threat.

I don’t know too much about the teams in middle tn or out west so forgive me for not including them.

I'll agree about Copper Basin. They will make it to the second round and quite possibly the third round.

If you think greenfield is a sleeper you are crazy. Lake county held them to negative rushing yards last year with subs playing entire second half. West Carrol is a better sleeper pick, I wouldn't say making a deep playoff run means much, making it to the third round isn't as impressive as it used to be. I do think west carrol could compete with LC. Losing Cayden Puckett hurts a lot this year

Yes I was waiting for someone to make that comment on Greenfield. Which since moving to 2A from that district in 1A, I’m glad to see that program make excellent strides I just will never see Greenfield make to the 4th round or beyond.

I’m not sure which teams will be tough in that district as I see it kinda wide open. I don’t know what this new coach will bring to LC. I say in that district it’s either WC or LC

Maybe not this year but Dresden will be stout in the coming years. QB got needed experience last year as freshman and he has some talent in his age group. I can say this not knowing any kid on the team anymore. lol I do know the QB's family and they are all tough as nails.

This is a slam dunk answer but I'd have to say Jo Byrns.  When you see the success they have enjoyed through the years last season's 2-8 regular season finish is an outlier.  I don't see them going 2-8 too many times.  That's a program that from 2005-2010 went 73-8 over a 6 year period and played in a couple of championship games.

they will have to be a world better than they have been the last few years. I must say i only seen them play in 1 game other than jamborees and we all know you cant take alot away from jamboree but they looked really bad

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
