Do we have players collapse because of not being conditioned? Is that not as dangerous ?

SIXTY YEARS AGO PRACTICE DID NOT START UNTIL 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO SCHOOL STARTING -- WHICH WAS ON TUESDAY AFTER LABOR DAY. THERE WAS NO SUMMER PRACTICE AT ALL.

YOU ALSO PLAYED ON DEFENSE AND OFFENSE. THERE WAS NO OPEN SUBSTITUTION.

I DIDN'T SEE ANY PLAYER "COLLAPSE BECAUSE OF NOT BEING CONDITIONED".

And cars and lots of homes didn't have air conditioning.  The kids were already acclimated to the heat.

Boys hauled hay through the summer , worked on farms, worked construction, and were used to the heat. Players these days are not.
