North Carolina delays start of practice until September 1st.  Likely opening day is September 18th.  South Carolina delays start of practice until August 17.  Likely first game September 4th.  Source--Charlotte Observer

Kreager is beginning to push the Virginia plan.  He wouldn't do that unless he's been told something.

If that happens and I am a player with a scholarship offer, I am not playing in the spring. Teams will be without the best players in the state.

I think every school should give it their best shot now. With people ignoring how contagious it is, I don’t see things getting better until the vaccine and who knows how long that will be. Maybe teams can get lucky and get thru the season, or maybe not.

Every precaution should be taken. Lives should not be traded for football. It’s gonna be tough.

I know some of you think the fall season will be or should be played but if the "fall season" is cancelled and TSSAA adopts the Virginia plan would you support it? Would you let your son play a shortened "spring season". 

Keep in mind the Virginia plan allows for all three seasons but obviously shortens each one.

Quit bringing up a vaccine!! About  half the population won’t even take it even if it does work well. It’s not the answer. It’s yet another delay tactic. Kids are not at risk of dying any more than they are from a car accident, a drug or alcohol related death, a suicide, or a heat related death. They are six times more likely to die of the flu! Enough of the fear and panic game. Use smart and common sense protocols like all other sports are, and play ball! If you want to opt out, then opt out.

We couldn’t even get a full basketball season in last year when there were no cases. No way three seasons would fly. I would support it, but need to play football in Fall.

I been hearing good things about a vaccine! That’s great news for next season. It will protect the elderly and the sick from everyone else spreading covid19
