COVID-19 2020 HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SEASON

Recommended Posts

Any other systems going to be postponed or shutting down ? This craziness needs to stop. Already have teams starting late and missing games. Teams missing games due to others not being able to play their opponent. Metro as of today missing 5 games but a proposal to only miss 3 games will be discussed this week. I feel for kids and coaches not knowing when they will play and how to practice with no pads or contact,

They are a lot of teachers that don’t want to go back so soon. So I look for a lot of teachers to get tested. Then whoever they was in contact with will be sent home And need to be tested. It’s going to be a mess. A lot of families will also have there kids tested if they have a fever. I wish all kids playing football would do online class.

The best idea I have heard. Why allow less than 10% of the student body to put the entire school at additional risk?

With that said, mine is playing and going to school.

Guy on Vol Quest said last night Nashville cases had dropped 19% this past week. I feel for these kids. Hopefully they will drop like a lead balloon.

No. Nor are they required to test if they are sent home sick. It’s almost like some wants the schools to close.

I thought Bernie said if the had a temp of 100.4 they got sent home and had to have a covid test.

Temperature checks are needed for all player/coaches/personnel before practice. A temperature above 100.4 sends the person in question home, they can't return until getting a negative COVID-19 test or a doctor's note

Thx, ONB. That makes more sense. I’ll check it out.
What kind of team are you guys expecting this year?

We should make semis but not sure if we can make it thru Pitt they really loaded up in the offseason.I expect a 50/50 chance first 2 games with Loudon and Meigs.Very well could be 8-2 going into playoffs. Then again us small schools will pay a high price if just 1 of our good players come down with this crap.I have high expectations tho.LOL!

east tennessee team in 3a has 4 coaches 9 or more players out after one week

From some of the things I've seen on social media , it's going to be ugly in our area even if many of the kids do virtual instead of on campus.A lot of adults are still not doing what the president ask . How can we expect the kids to act any different.
